Widely acclaimed both nationally and internationally, GRETA Journal has been published twice a year since 1993. It emerged from the heart of the Andalusian English Teachers Association (GRETA) and now has approximately 600 subscribers all over the country and abroad. It is directed at Primary, Secondary, and University level teachers and researchers of English as a foreign language, among whom it aims at promoting scholarly exchange and discussion.

All in all, the objective of the journal is to bridge the gap between the field of Applied Linguistics and class praxis, since it basically seeks to be useful for English language teachers at all levels, as well as for undergraduate and graduate teacher trainees. Other fundamental goals include providing up-dated information about the latest trends, techniques, materials, and methodologies employed in EFL teaching and to exchange experiences and publications between research teams both on a national and international level.

This journal offers information on new technologies applied to English language teaching, reviews of recently published books of interest for the language teaching professional, the latest information on cultural and literary events in English-speaking countries, a summary of relevant articles published in other important English teaching journals, and regular interviews with internationally renowned figures. It publishes diverse types of articles: primarily theoretical, focused on practical recommendations or classroom experiences at all educational levels, and having to do with English for Specific Purposes and with bilingual teaching. GRETA Journal only publishes blind peer-reviewed manuscripts.
